<p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;"> Participate in two separate choral groups: The Cliff Singers, the university's main choir which is open to all majors, and the Chamber Choir — a selectively auditioned ensemble and the university's most advanced choral organization. Music majors are welcome to audition for both.</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">The BCU jazz band, created a few years ago by a group of enterprising student musicians, is now an auditioned ensemble that performs both on campus and at various nightclub venues in the region. </p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">The 150-seat Meis Recital Hall provides a venue for recitals, rehearsals, lectures, large classes, workshops and just about anything else the music department needs!</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">The John R. Dible Music Lab is home to several music classes at BCU. The room contains several Yamaha pianos and a pair of music composition work stations.<p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;"><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">Pictured is one of the music composition work stations located in the Dible Lab. The computers are equipped with the latest  Sibelius composing software.</P><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">The music and theatre departments frequently join forces to put on Broadway musicals, operas and other productions. The performances usually take place here in the BCU Theater.</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">Students — especially music majors — often lead worship music in the Chapel of Our Lady of Grace. Contact campus ministry to volunteer!</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">The Chapel of Our Lady of Grace is home to an iconic M.P. Moller Opus 9270 pipe organ, which is used for recitals, Sunday mass and the occasional practice session.</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">Every year, the music department teams up with the Sioux City Symphony and other local artists to present "Christmas at the Orpheum," the region's premier choral and orchestral celebration. The performance takes place at the magnificent Orpheum Theatre, located in downtown Sioux City. </p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">BCU choirs have toured to a variety of domestic and international destinations including Italy, Hawaii, France, the Caribbean and more! This picture was taken during a 2012 tour in Venice.</p><p style="padding-left:25px; padding-bottom: 15px;">Our graduates make significant contributions in their respective communities: they are teachers and administrators in public and private schools and institutions of higher education; they own and operate private studios; they work as professional concert artists, church musicians and directors of community theaters; and they are graduate students at major research universities.</p>
